Reports Report 6689a (Event 6689-2024)

Remarks I have a couple different video angles, but you can see the suspected meteorite behind the tree in the top left corner of the video, about one second before the boom. Other video has a much clearer sonic boom. Neighbors came outside to see what the noise was. I am very interested in aviation / space flight and am familiar with sonic booms and what they sound like. I am also a competitive shooter, and am familiar with gunfire, and definitely knew that was not a gunshot. My wife and I live near Ellington Field where NASA operates T-38s, and I initially thought one accidentally went supersonic. I checked Flightradar24, with no NASA aircraft nearby. Went back and checked footage and saw the pulse of light followed by the boom. Happy to send the other video if it helps!
