Reports Report 2599m (Event 2599-2013)

Observer
Name Dan G
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I was sitting in my hot tub, head back, star gazing, facing generally north. The meteor was at about 10 o'clock in my left visual field when I first noticed it. From my perspective it traveled from about 80 degrees WNW until it disappeared about 5 seconds later behind the roof of my garage at about 270 degrees due east. The roof line of my garage is about about 2 o'clock in my right visual field. It did not go directly over my house, but it couldn't have been very far to the north me. (I'd guess the meteor itself traveled from about 85 degrees WNW to ESE at about 265 degrees.) I heard no noise, but I had the jets of my hot tub on at the time which would have masked some noise. A single fireball only, with a single tail.
