| Remarks | This is absolutely nuts but I was watching the aurora thru the Banff Aurora Cam as it was trending down and saw what was very clearly a fireball shooting “thru?” the green of the auroral glow. Second fireball I’ve seen tonight - and the first kicked off the aurora for me here in Arizona in person (earlier report). Mind blown. It doesn’t get much better. What a night. Hopefully some locals were still out enjoying the show and saw it: if Banff Sunshine archives webcam footage, probably around 11:23pm MST, so perhaps 12:23am MDT. Woooooooooow. What a night! |
