| Remarks | Security camera videos, looking South East from Winnipeg. The sky was very clear. After seeing reports on event: https://fireball.amsmeteors.org/members/imo_view/event/2024/5594 from Minnesota and Wisconsin, I checked security camera footage, and found 2 cameras had recorded the meteor. The first camera has a slightly better angle, the second camera has a better resolution. The end of the meteor path is cropped in both videos by the roof of a nearby house, due to the very low angle. Both videos are cropped to 1920x1080. The meteor is coming almost straight down (179 degrees), and by coincidence, in the first half of the merged video, the meteor appears to follow the path of a streetlamp pole. The 2nd half of the merged video is the first meteor video from a new camera I've installed - Lorex E842CA. |
