Remarks I was in a car, driving, it came lower than any shooting star, meteor I've ever seen. It looked like it was but mere feet in front of me. It appeared suddenly in front of me, out of the sky, dropped to the low right hand corner of my viewing. It burned as fast as a shooting star with no noise like a firework or sparks. It literally looked like it hit the ground in front of me. I'm sure my perception of closeness is off. It had a colored tail. It was way too quick to get a photo of. No burning, smoking, sparks like fireworks produce post color stream. It just looked like a star with a colored tail shot down and burned up.
