I've never seen anything like this, I noticed a weird brightness in the sky while I was driving, looked up to my right and saw a brightness, looked to my left and saw what I thought was a single super bright firework, or flare. It was green in the front, with an orange to light yellow trail, it was moving so fast that I didn't have time to come to terms with what it could have been until a few moments had passed. It went east over a mountain and I couldn't see it anymore, but I could see a large orange glow around the mountain after it had passed, and the sky around me remained bright as well for a short time. It was perhaps the most incredible thing I've seen in person. It defied logic for me, it was likely only in my view for 3 seconds, and the glow remained for a couple more, so a five to six second experience in all. Regardless of the length, it was so alien and unexpected to me, that I immediately called my friend on the phone, and upon getting home woke up the whole house, just to share the experience. |
