| Remarks | Just as it was getting dark, approximately 8:00 pm eastern time (or possibly a minute or two before), I was looking at last of the glow of sun in Western sky and suddenly in the southwest sky I saw an extremely fast moving fireball. Bright fire ball with long tail of fire red and then orange. Huge!! I was stunned!! I listened for explosion sound, but didn’t hear any. I was very high up in mountains at about 900 feet elevation. It seemed to be about plane height. So cool!! Lasted less than three seconds that I could see in my viewing area. |
