I was laying in a tent with the top partially open. I had just eyes closed trying to return to sleep when the brightness startled me. I opened my eyes and the event became brighter and i observed it streaking across the sky and then burn out. The object streaked from north to south across the top of the sky. The boom afterward was also very loud and startling. The boom lasted much longer than the light event.
