Reports Report 4679d (Event 4679-2024)

Observer
Name Brenda O
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks This fireball was very much larger than Venus, very much brighter, fell precisely straight down from my perspective, between me and a close bank of cloud over the foothills/mountains. Absolutely no tail (and was not swamp gas or a plane) It likely originated much higher in the sky but our overhanging deck roofline impeded the higher vertical visibility. This was the most impressively bright meteor I have seen in 6 decades! No debris and close; I think it must have survived landing.
