We thought a ufo at first and then thought maybe we witnessed a star exploding. It wasn't a shooting star it was just a sudden bright white light that seemed to expand out towards us and then reversed back inward and was gone .

Remarks
We were looking straight up by the Corona borealis - suddenly there was a bright white light bigger than a star that seemed to expand outward in circle and it had a haze around the central bright white then the outer was yellow orange warm and then it zipped back inward and disappeared.
