Observer
Name Erik H
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I enjoy night walks nearly every night and have for years, i have seen fireballs, but they have never hung in the sky like this did. Its slower than average movement makes me question what I actually saw. I’m not sure if I indicated the direction properly either. It appeared high in the night sky at 12:02 in the morning around the constellation Hercules and faded away slightly east of the tail of Scorpius.

Observation Yes
Duration 20s
Length
Remarks There was a relatively short train behind the shooting star, but it held in the sky an unusually long time.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks When it first entered the sky the shooting star large and luminous, it drew my eyes to it immediately, but also sort of a dullish reddish orange (not white light bright).
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks The shooting star almost immediately broken into many pieces, all falling together and leaving relatively short, but long lasting trails. The shooting star feel at a much slower rate than ‘normal’, so much so i was able to get a photo with my iphone fore it disappeared .
