Reports Report 2635g (Event 2635-2024)

Observer
Name Joseph M
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Difficulty adjusting angles on report via phone. Full report- Traveling east; visual was obtained at approximately this coordinate (28.5297662, -82.3240361) at approximately 5am. Began as what seemed to be a shooting star in appearance. Both myself and a friend witnessed the exact moment the meteor burst into green flames. Shooting star appearance lasted 1 (possibly 2) seconds; green flame lasted approximately 2-3 seconds. Meteor traveled E/NE. Exact angle unknown. Meteor appeared to descend slightly as it moved across the sky (beginning at ~50 degrees moving to ~25 degrees from the horizon). In all honestly I didn’t pay much mind to the illumination of the moon; but the meteor was so bright that it turned nearly all of the visible night sky a bright green.
