I was an Air Force meteorologist for 4 years where I learned to love the study of how space affects the atmosphere here on earth and I have read about, and seen many photos of fireballs. I am almost certain this was a fireball that I witnessed while taking my dogs outside before bed through a small gap between the houses to the east of me.
