Remarks The meteor appeared bright at first from my upper left field of vision, then moved very fast to the north and suddenly disappeared. I thought it had just skipped out of the atmosphere. This was nothing like the night time shuttle launches from my former home in southwest Florida so I was sure it was not an aircraft.
