Reports Report 2315cj (Event 2315-2024)

Observer
Name Jenaya W
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I have never seen anything like this in the sky with my own eyes. It was large and unlike a shooting star in size, duration, and color. Very cool! I can't find anyone else who saw it but had called about 3 people after exclaiming my excitement.

Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 3s
Length -
Remarks the train had a slight arch that was also green but not as bright. I don't know how to describe how long it was. The horizon maps would be more useful for visualizing. The train was quite long and I watched until it was out of my line of sight toward the horizon.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks It was like a large bright blast of green into the sky then continued to glow very brightly at the front and trailed a train of less intense green behind it as it arched slightly and dove towards what appeared as my horizon to the north.
