Reports Report 2478b (Event 2478-2024)

Observer
Name Ella F
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks It was difficult to answer the horizon question - however it felt EXTREMELY close, as in less than a kilometre above the ground. However, I understand this couldn't have been the case. When I saw it moving in a direct line above the road (before fragmenting), I thought at first it looked like a drone. Then when it burned / crackled, it was like a slow motion moving star and moved upwards in an arc, before arcing back down.At this point it expanded significantly in size and glowed / grew brighter / crackled.

Observation Yes
Remarks I first saw it as it travelled straight and was a bright / white light. It then began to expand and crackle brightly like a firework / slow motion shooting star in an arc shape, then disintergrated in the air. As it crackled / fragmented, it changed from white to bright yellow / gold in colour and moved upwards in trajectory before arcing back down. It moved in a direct line over the space of approx. 3 seconds, then about 2-3 seconds of burning up / fragmenting.
