Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 35s
Length 30°
Remarks the train was bright white and blue that faded into a blue before disappearing over time. It lasted long after the ball exploded. The looked like it ended then started again. It was Almost directly above me and was as wide as a rainbow would seem to be. The fireball looked about the size of a full moon when it exploded.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks The ball looked blue and white with red around the front end of the ball. It then suddenly became a very big flash of light with a blue hue to it. It lit up the entire sky making it look like daytime for about 15 seconds before going out and It looked like a black coal looking rock flew on after the light died out. Towards the North west. I would have thought it would have landed just beyond the Ohio river.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks I saw a black piece of coal looking rock fly beyond the bright flash after the light went dim. It looked like it was going to land just beyond the ohio river to me. It was going Northwest from where I was which was on junction 3161 in Mason County KY.
