Remarks I've seen a dozen or so shooting stars in the past as well as meteor showers. But this was event was different. we were driving approximately 15 mph, heading east leaving the riverbottoms of the Wabash directly on the border of Indiana and Illinois. I just happened to turn my head north looking for the Aurora before driving behind a woods that was going to be blocking my line of site until I reached the stop sign to turn south roughly half a mile away. I was turning my head back to the road giving up hope for the night, and as I did, this darkish, goldish light color appeared. Roughly lasting 3 to 4 seconds. It was significantly brighter than the moon or the tint of the moon. I remember I immediately yelled Oh my god, look at that hun. But it disappeared before she even registered what was going on. She was upset as she has never seen a shooting star. I remember telling her ive seen shooting stars then described all the ones I has seen before while telling her that what i just saw didn't look like a normal shooting star. I specifically remember saying it was like I could see the flames of this. It was so wide!!
