Remarks I was sitting in my yard watching the aurora when this meteor seemingly fell straight down to the north. It started out a bright whitish blue, then got deeper blue until it brightened again with the terminal flash. After not personally seeing auroras for ~25 years, then to see a bright fireball like this as they are the brightest I've ever seen was definitely a sky watching highlight for me!

Remarks The meteor came straight down and got brighter, then flashed as it went behind a cloud that was low on the horizon. I never saw it come below the cloud so I don't know if it actually fragmented or not.
