| Remarks | I caught this object by chance, standing outside with my wife and sharing a cigarette before she went to bed. I spend a great deal of time looking at the night sky and have seen many "shooting stars" of varying intensity, going so far as to spend hours in the winter at 3 am scanning the sky for anything interesting. I stay informed as to current and upcoming meteor showers and, weather permitting, rarely miss an opportunity to be involved. This particular fireball is certainly in my personal top 2. |

| Remarks | I didn't see a "terminal explosion" as I understand the term but the object did "spark" or fragment as it got a bit brighter before rapidly vanishing in the middle of the sky (it didn't disappear behind trees or other objects) |
