Remarks I caught it from the corner of my eye and thought it was a shooting star. I stopped walking up my driveway (pretty much due west, shortly before 8 pm but the time i gave is approximate to within a few minutes either way) and stared at it because it was a lot larger than your typical shooting star, and it literally looked like it was on fire. It was a dark green around the edges with a lighter green glow, and bright orange-red where the "fire" was. I was waiting to see if it ended in a bright green flash because i saw one about 25 years ago that did that, but i lost sight of it as it went lower and house/trees/fence blocked the view. My fiance was running power tools and i didnt notice any sound but that. In total it probably lasted maybe 5 seconds? before i lost sight of it. I looked online to see if there was anything being said about it and i found this website. I didnt know there were such things as fireballs, but thats an apt description of whatever i saw.
