Remarks My husband and I were camping, laying on our backs, we saw it as it traveled directly over our heads coming from the NE going SW for a couple of seconds. From where we lay, it looked to be very close to earth. It was a very clear sky, no clouds to compare how near. It was more gray than white, I acutally thought I could see what I would call craters on the surface of it, it did not have light or fire coming off it, as I have seen "shooting stars", and this was much larger and much nearer and it seemed to be moving so fast it was causing the air around it to be seen as vapor. From where we lay it looked to be the size of a volleyball if held at arms length. My husband laughed at me, because I expected to hear it hit.
