| Remarks | I was fishing on Weiss Lake. Being on a boat a few hundred yards off shore, I had an unobstructed view. The general direction coming from the Ft. Payne-Gadsden area and headed towards the Rome-Atlanta area. I viewed the object for about 15 seconds before it burned out. The sun had set but there was still plenty of sunlight. This object first caught my attention out of the corner of my eye as a bright flash and it lit up the entire sky for several seconds before it fizzled out. |
