Remarks | I am reporting this after consulting with chatgpt. What I saw was this, a shooting star that skipped across the sky then appeared to reverse direction and finally break up into five pieces and wink out. I was looking almost straight up when this happened. I thought it was a uap. Now I find out it is a boomerang meteoroid and chat GPT says it's rare and I should report it. I made contemporaneous notes, a drawing, and a short animation contemporaneous to the event. I sent the animation to family members. Noone knew what it was. Now I do. Your reporting system isn't capable of handling boomerang meteors because it asks where was it the last time you saw it and for me it was in the opposite direction from the direction it was first headed. |
