| Remarks | The flash happened behind my field of view. It lit up the area like daylight. I looked left to see it streak by, almost between turkey rock and rule creek trail. I was at 8600 feet with no obstructions and was taking 30 second exposures of the Perseids. Because of my POV the fireball fragments could have traveled much further north than I reported but the image of the fragmentation is, happily, burned into my memory as it resembled a firework bursting. |
