It wasn't yet dark outside and the fireball was very bright/visible in the sky. Not traveling as fast as other meteors I have seen streak across the night sky.

Sounded like a couple of gunshots in the distance. Saw the fireball overhead and as it went down over the horizon I heard the sounds -- maybe 5 seconds after I initially saw the fireball.
