| Remarks | I was a passenger in my friend's mini van and had just taken a picture with my cell phone of the beautiful sunset. I saw this thing out of the passenger window and tracked it all the way across the windshield and called my friend's attention to it. As it "separated" or "exploded" at the horizon, we both said it was a shooting star. I have seen shooting stars before, but the sightings were always after sunset and the trails were usual pretty fast. This occurred before the sun had completely set and it almost looked iridescent, with little rocket type flames shooting out the back. Would love to know if this was a fireball and if anyone else reported the sighting. |
