Remarks | We were camping on Hole in the Wall Island on Percy Priest Lake, facing due south about 40’ above the waterline. I have seen a few shooting stars in the past and have personally never seen anything of this brightness or duration. It looked huge and close to Earth, had to have been inside the atmosphere. Based on the trajectory it looks like it possibly could have fell to Earth, but obviously hard to say. |
