Remarks I was driving at the time on a curvy 2 lane highway- it was right at late dusk. The late colors of the sunset were still visible in the sky, you could still see, but dark was falling. My 8 pm EDT estimate is a guess but should be accurate to within 15 minutes either way. Unfortunately we were so excited I completely forgot to check my watch for the exact time. My thought was how amazing that it looked so bright even before total dark fell.. I suspect this would have looked VERY bright if viewed in total darkness. I first thought subliminally it was a plane, then really noticed it, got my friend to look and we still had several seconds to enjoy and marvel at it. The meteor and tail streaked all the way from the right of my windshield to the left before dimming. It was awesome. I have seen a similar thing to this magnitude maybe 3-4 times in my 59 years. Thanks!
