| Remarks | It was right at 2330 hours give or take a minute. I was on patrol Allegheny Blvd, southbound, just rounding the bend on to Washington Crossing Bridge. This was the brightest "shooting star" I have ever witnessed and I can only describe the tail as if someone would have taken a sparkler factory and dropped it out of the sky. From my vantage point the meteor would have been almost directly above the Franklin Shop N Save on Buffalo St. It lasted about 2-3 seconds and was gone. It was so bright I radioed out Emergency Services Center and advised them to be ready to take calls for an extremely large meteor falling from the sky. |
