I saw flashing lights on a tree for 10 - 20 seconds in front of my house. I heard static sounds like fireworks. I saw an extremely bright light on my neighbors house across the street from where the lights of the tree had been. The fireball then appeared and ascended from behind my neighbors house two doors down. It was about half the size of a Volks wagon Beetle. It traveled east at about the speed of a car going down the block and elevated eastward until out of sight.
