| Remarks | it was the most awesome thing I have seen in the sky after moving to MI from WA. out on the peninsula where there was a lot less light pollution. it was very exciting. At first I thought it was falling star, caught it just briefly out of the corner of my eye as I was turning around to get my dog. I turned back to catch a glimpse and I watched it a good 20-25 seconds before it went to the horizon. I did file LE report, they said it was a shooting star, but I have never seen one that big, that bright (enough to light the sky pretty good}, nor have I ever heard a sound when I have seen a falling star. I have heard today of people living about 20 miles west of me in the community of Spring Arbor, MI, seeing the same thing. |
