| Remarks | This caught my attention because my eyes were in that general direction, then my eyes caught the bright light. After focusing on the light, I thought it was an airplane at first because of how bright the lights were (like an airplane headed in my direction) and because I noticed some blue and red. However, keeping my attention on it, it disappeared after 4 or 5 seconds. I had to do a double take, because I had a clear view of the area, and if it HAD been an airplane, I should have still been able to see it. Having observed meteor showers before, this was one of the brightest I have witnessed, especially for this early in the evening. I stuck around for over a minute to see if I could hear an aftershock. However, I did not. |
