Remarks | This was much closer to the Earth than a meteor. It had a long tail for just a couple of seconds, maybe 3-4, and the whole thing disappeared very quickly. I noticed a dim white ball with a long tail heading from the east to the west as I was driving south on I-15 in Draper at the south end of Salt Lake county. It appeared like it was just over the north end of Lehi. The streak was quite long and quickly disappeared just before the ball itself seemed to burn out. |
