It really is hard to believe that it was 100 miles away as it seemed to light the clouds near us (within a few miles I'm sure). Of course it was dark and I was driving. The 'tail' was very evident even though just for a couple of seconds.

Remarks
Could only see it while the head was lit (the 2 seconds). Was not straight like a contrail but was between wiggly and jagged, but definitely along a straight path.It lit up the bottom of the clouds. First split-second we thought it was lightning but we could see it (briefly) traveling east to west over the highway ahead of us. Called WLW immediately and nobody else had reported it yet (didn't know about you guys). Hard to believe it seems to have been nearer Columbus?
