Reports Report 6547i (Event 6547-2023)

Observer
Name Walter M
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks What caught my eye was a dim light crossing above but it did not have a blinking light, that of a an airplane. Next there was a thick bright orange streak just behind this point of light, about three quarters inch length. A moment later this streak elongated and a narrowed to the streak described above, keeping in mind that this was traveling horizontal across the sky. This is when I went into my house, from where I was standing while observing this phenomenon and having come off a my typical bike ride around Lake Hollingsworth to get my phone/camera just to get my bearings of the night sky and time stamp along with an attempt to get a screen grab a phone app's Stellarium Mobile - Star Map, not that it would help due to the fact it was asking for a calibration, wave the phone in a figure eight, not what I was hoping for when I needed a stable read of the sky. It's not like I didn't try.
