| Remarks | Time is plus or minus app. 15 minutes. It was still light enough to easily see to walk around. I was facing toward the moon and first saw it just slightly to the left and in front of straight overhead. It passed just south of the moon (about a finger width held at arms length) before disappearing behind the trees. I have seen two other real fireballs in my life, both of which gave off redish orange flames and smoke, and one disintegrated into several smaller ones and I could actually hear the passing of it. This one was a very bright bluish white color that seemed to shimmer slightly, but with no visible flames, smoke, or sound. |
