It appeared larger and longer than those I have seen like the meters in the perseid meteor shower. Perhaps it was much closer? It was also much much brighter and appeared in the sky for just a little longer of a duration than the meteors in the meteor showers I have seen

It was gold colored and very long and very bright. Not sure how to calculate how long it appeared to be accurately but it was longer than most I've seen
