Remarks I've seen 4-5 fireballs in my lifetime. This had to be the brightest. I was looking north (driving north) when a bright flash in my perepheral that I thought was an explosion (immediate thought was transformer explosion) caused me to look west and see the fireball.

Remarks bright flash in my peripheral caused me to look west (I was facing north) saw huge bright fireball dissapear below the tree line. Left a evanescent trail that lingered afterwards but only had a one or two second view due to driving.
