Reports Report 5598am (Event 5598-2023)

Observer
Name Christopher N
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I was driving home from work on a 55 MPH highway in a very rural area. The entire sky went from pitch black and clear to an immediate dusk in maybe only a second. Heavily wooded area. From the top of my windshield I saw the white meteor traveling along my direction of travel with a vibrant green trail. It seemed to dissipate before reaching the tree line from my vantage point. It is hard to gauge the time frame because the event actually frightened me at first (bomb?) until I saw the meteor, but I would say at least five seconds.
