Remarks This is the original file from my daughter and son-in-law's security cam. I have permission to share with responsible entities. Part of the Perseid shower, recently, which has plenty of documentation from that night, including this video, which was broadcast, with others, on local news. I thought this might actually be of scientific importance, certainly the most spectacular I've ever seen, in my limited experience. From an off grid property at the top of a mountain, initially blocked by the roof overhang, it bursts into view larger than the sun, almost directly overhead, before coalescing into a typical fireball. I've never seen a larger, closer image of one. My daughter was awake at the time, watched the whole thing, and said it was, briefly, as bright as day. My estimate of position and trajectory (and even address...) is just that, an estimate. I can put you in touch with them if more info is needed.
