Remarks | Saw this with some light from the sun still left in the western sky. This was at 8:15pm (time approximate, but very close). This was prior to the larger meteor reported later in the evening around 11:30pm, (which was seen as a flash in the yard by my wife). Direction of travel looked to be SSE to NNW. Looked like an orange ball of fire with sparks trailing it. The tail did not last. The fireball was visible a little more than 4 seconds I believe. |
