Remarks I've seen very, tiny meteors during the Perseid Meteor shower period in my 68 years of life, but this one was HUGE, so close I thought I could touch it. This one was so close I could see the front was a very distinct round firery ball with very distinct, sharp edges on the west directional trajectory side of the fireball. The tail was easily defined as a coming out of the back of the orb and slowly faded towards the end. There were no sparks in the tail that you might see in a firework shooting through the sky, so I was 99.9% sure it was a meteor, but the vast size seeing it so close the treetops with the naked eye confused me. It was a beautiful site to behold and must admit, I was overcome with such excitement and emotion, I cried; thanking God for allowing me witness such a beautiful sight from His awesome creation - outer space.
