| Remarks | I have seen two or three shooting stars in the same area over the past 16 years and we can typically see rocket launches from Cape Canaveral. The object I saw on 8/31/23 was unique from the others in that it had a definite light green (vapor trail?), appeared and disintegrated in no more than 5 seconds, was traveling as fast as I have ever seen and was considerably larger in comparison to the couple of shooting stars (?) I have seen. I would also like to point out I had a clear and unobstructed view of the object from when it suddenly appeared until it disintegrated. It was high in the sky directly above my neighbor's home. Thank you in advance for any information you can provide and may the force be with you :-) |
