Remarks The moon was not out, or at least not in my field of view. The flash lasted 2-3 seconds, and lit up the entire sky with blue/white light. I could see the road in front of me almost as if it were daylight. The fireball itself was not quite as bright as the sun; I know this because it was not uncomfortable to look at. If I had to guess I would say no less than -16 magnitude. It was much brighter than the full moon on a clear night. It seemed extremely close, but due to the brightness I did not really see any fragmentation. I did not hear any sound, but I was in my car listening to music.
