| Remarks | Due to its duration and reports that I have received ( https://www.facebook.com/george.a.danos/posts/pfbid02rWtQPjc6HS6gwtKDS5UeSp83imEbRUTG9ZcDwGbqMSuZPKwETLg5VEJvxtL6iHYSl ) spanning from Kastellorizo, Greece all the way to Rizokarpaso, Cyprus ( https://goo.gl/maps/zNSM5qNfye4PrdXU8 ) it is my personal estimation that this was a small asteroid (circa 1-meter size) that entered the atmosphere almost parallel (low angle), hence its long trajectory (spanning at least 400km of observations and reports). The incident received major publicity in all national media in Cyprus, due to the large number of observers and reports. |
