Remarks It was as close to emerald green as you could get. It was the most beautiful astronomical event I have ever witnessed. I hope others have reported it, I wish I had it on video. I texted my wife right after I saw it so it occurred at approximately 11:50pm on August 5 2023.

Remarks The moon was nearly full and I was looking at it first just about 10/15 degrees off where I first saw the flash. It was brighter than the moon but not so bright where I had to look away like the sun. There was a BEAUTIFUL very bright emerald green flash that looked like it had sparks around it. It then trailed off while the sparks flew off around and behind it leaving a trail, becoming dimmer as it went along the sky.
