Remarks Was using the nightsky app to locate Venus and Mercury. Venus had just set below the hills to the west, and shortly after that the meteor streaked briefly in pretty much that same direction, cutting from north to southward. It only caught my attention when it flared quite bright so perhaps if it was quite faint it might have been longer than 1-2 seconds but by the time I saw it it was already burning out. Definitely green and definitely much brighter than Venus!

Remarks At the end it got much brighter very quickly, wouldn’t call it an explosion but it flared out and disappeared. It was very quick but it seemed the main body was glowing green and a smaller piece separated in front of it, glowing more orange or yellow.
