What distinguished this sighting from previous sightings was the thickness of the smoke. Usually I observe more of a thin streak. This also seemed much closer than previous sightings, and lower in the sky.

Thick billowing smoke, glowing from the light of the object. Quickly disappeared. Did not see the head of the object, only the smoky trail.
