Reports Report 2338y (Event 2338-2023)

Observer
Name Bob M
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks It did not end in an explosion, I don't believe, but I would call it a hard stop. That, the color and duration (2-3 seconds) were the most remarkable things about it. I have seen sla few fireballs before and most I have seen seemed to linger more at the end, more gradually disintegrating. This felt more like a BAM! minus the explosion. I have seen a fireball with a wider trail and with more colors but this was distinctly light green. I was driving (north on Louisville Road) and the entire thing was in my field of vision, moving away from me in a northeasterly direction. I believe the spot I have marked is close to being accurate but if I am off slightly, that would mean the direction I have indicated could be off a bit as the direction of the road changes considerably around that spot. So there is definitely some margin of error there.
